This was the first episode filmed after Ed Sanders injured his hand with a saw, but since it aired prior to the episode showing his accident, shots of Ed were cropped tightly to avoid showing his heavily bandaged right hand.
Linda Riggins and Building Together Ministries, the beneficiaries of this episode, returned the favor in the Season 5 finale by traveling to New Orleans to help those rebuilding a home and church for Katrina survivors.
The builder for this project was based in Phoenix, and all materials and workers had to be trucked 6 1/2 hours each way to get to the remote site on the Navajo Reservation.
Build was the show's first appearance in New Mexico, and completed the program's 50-state build promotion, which ran through the 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 seasons.
