• The episode's title references Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), which is the first part of the Indiana Jones-franchise. Cast-member Shia LaBeouf would co-star in _Fourth Installment of the Indiana Jones Adventures (2008)_
• This episode parodies the film Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), in which Louis and his dad mimic the famous "Golden Idol" scene, with the Idol replaced by a giant Gold sausage. Shia LaBeouf, who plays Louis in the show, later starred alongside 'Harrison Ford' as Indiana Jones' sidekick/son in the blockbuster sequel Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008), also directed by Steven Spielberg.
