Summary: Wormholes randomly materialize around Eureka as the Department of Defense is set to shut the town.

Goof (continuity error): At the beginning, when Zane and Jo are discussing their plans for the future, the same blonde woman in blue scrubs walks past them three times.

The last scene of Jack and Zoe leaving Eureka on a dark and wet road and seeing a sedan traveling the other way, intentionally echoes the scene in the pilot episode in which Jack and Zoe accidentally arrive in Eureka.
Grant Imahara, one of the hosts of MythBusters (2003)_, makes a quick cameo as a scientist running after a diminutive stray robot. Imahara is also well known for his robotics expertise.
At 50 minutes into the episode, a shot of a building behind some trucks has a business named "Paglia". Jaime Paglia is one of the creators of the show.
