Summary: And so it begins! On the search for his missing wife, Alex Tully is coerced into heading down to Florida Keys for answers... Wendy Patrakas, desperate to keep her newborn baby away from her violent husband, recieves a call to head to Florida Quays... Winston Salazar, just-bailed from prison by an unknown benefactor, recieves a call with the chance to start his life anew. They are just three of the many given the opportunity to take part in The Race, a secret, and illegal, cross-country road race. As The Race starts, the drivers meet their competitors, as well as the mysterious Corinna, a stowaway on Alex's truck who might have answers to the whole thing - or at least, something very important to The Sponsors of The Race, seeing as they've sent someone after her to retrieve it. As the racers head for their first destination, not everything goes to plan - and one Racer finds themselves first at the mercy of the law, and then at the mercy of The Sponsors...

MISTAKES/GOOFS

GEOG: In the opening sequence, the racers are going north on US1 from Key West. This road never has two lanes going in each direction surrounded by hills and bridges. It is currently almost entirely one lane each direction, with speed limits at 45 and many stoplights. It is not a freeway.
GEOG: When leaving the hotel in Key West to start the race, there are several high rise buildings in the background. However, there is exactly one 'tall building' (6 stories) on the island, and it is in the center of town.
GEOG: Driving up I-95 in Florida, supposedly going to Boca Raton, you see a mountain in the background. There are no mountains in South Florida.
GEOG: The game begins in southern Florida. However it is quite obvious that the highway scenes are not southern Florida. The scenery (mountains, desert conditions) have the characteristics of southeast California.

Brooks, Richard (IV) is credited in this episode as "Detective Ehrle". He played "Jubal Early" opposite Fillion, Nathan in the Firefly Episode "Objects in Space".
