John Forney, formerly a hard-nosed cop who stepped out of line one one-too-many times, and is now a probation officer for four parolees. His charges are a smart-mouthed runaway, a karate expert looking for a fight, a strange man who's only happy impersonating others, and an older socialite who's a swindler. The group lives in Harriet's run-down mansion.
