Episode Quotes

Madame Kovarian: You'll rescue me, won't you? Because it's what he'd do, and you'd never do anything to disappoint your precious Doctor.
Amy Pond: The Doctor is precious to me, yes. But do you know what else he is? Not here. [puts Madame Kovarian's eye drive back on her, knowing it will electrocute her] River Song didn't get it all from you - sweetie.
Rory: Are you sure, River? Are you really, properly sure?
River Song: Of course I'm sure! I'm his wife!
Amy Pond: Yes! And I'm his... [realises]... mother-in-law.
River Song: [to Rory] Father dear, I think mummy might need another drink.
Emperor Winston Churchill: What happened to time?
The Doctor: A woman.

Mistakes/Goofs

  • Goof (revealing mistake): Where the Doctor has Dorium's head in the box, and it's upside down in the Tardis, you can see a small patch of non-blue flesh if you look towards the top of the box/his neck.

Trivia

  • The brief appearance of Simon Callow as Charles Dickens marks the first time that any character (other than the Doctor or River Song) from series 1-4 has appeared on-screen in an eleventh Doctor story. Callow previously played Dickens in the first season story ""Doctor Who" (2005) {The Unquiet Dead (#1.3)}".
