Summary: Earth is in ruins, its people enslaved, The Master's dominion has begun, and The Doctor is helpless to prevent it. Only Martha Jones can save the day, with an army of free will and courage as her charge. Will The Doctor seal the fate of the Time Lords in a final battle with his nemesis?

MISTAKES/GOOFS

CONT: SPOILER: When the Master is dying in the Doctor's arms the Doctor's right leg changes position. When the view is on the Master's face his knee is up, when the view is on the Doctor's face his knee is on the ground.
FACT: SPOILER: When Francine Jones pulls a gun on The Master, you hear the sound of a gun cocking. The gun she's holding is a Glock, which does not have an external hammer to cock.
CONT: When the Master is about to execute Martha on the Valiant he remarks that her death will be his "first blood." But just as he captured Martha the night before, Thomas Milligan ran into the street to save her and the Master killed him with his Laser Screwdriver. So even if you don't count the Master's killing of Jack in "Doctor Who" (2005) {The Sound of Drums (#3.12)}, Thomas Milligan would be his first blood.
MISC: SPOILER: When the Master broadcasts him aging the Doctor to his full age of 900+ years, the Doctor writhes, sliding out of his wheelchair and onto the floor. When it's over, the Doctor is less than a foot tall and crawls out of his suit. But over the TV camera, all you can see is the wheelchair - the camera is not aimed low enough to see the suit or the mini-Doctor. So how is Martha supposed to get the "message" and how does she know the Doctor is still alive if she can't see him?

The mysterious woman's hand with the red nails which picks up the ring in the final scene actually belongs to Doctor Who Production Manager Tracie Simpson.
Despite the original show's limiting of Time Lord regeneration to only 13 lives, this episode, as well as "Doctor Who" (2005) {Utopia (#3.11)} and "Doctor Who" (2005) {The Sound of Drums (#3.12)}, presented the Master's 17th life. Also, we learn that it's more an act of will than biology for Time Lords to regenerate.
