Mistakes/Goofs
- Goof (continuity error): During the sequence where Larry is confronted by one of the Weeping Angels, the position of its left arm keeps changing despite him constantly staring at it.
- Goof (continuity error): Sally Sparrow is in the house, she sees a key hanging from the angel's hand and goes forward to take it. First we see the front shot and the string is looped around the angel's hand. Cut to side shot and the string is hanging with no loop. Front shot again and the loop is back. Side shot where she actually takes the key and no loop. The position of the string may have been altered during shooting as having Sally unravelling the string to get the key would have taken several seconds and she really wanted to be out of the house as fast as possible.
- Goof (continuity error): When Sally pulls the wall paper off, part of the year (1969) gets pulled off, but when she comes back with Kathy, all parts of the year are written on the wall.
- Goof (continuity error): When Sally exits the police station the police car parked outside has turned round from its position from when she first entered the station only minutes earlier.
- Goof (continuity error): Throughout the episode the speed of the Weeping Angels varies dramatically. The Doctor describes them as "faster than you could believe" and in one scene they are apparently able to cross from a building on one side of the street to one on the other side in the time it takes a character to blink. In the rest of the episode however they show an inability to cross a small room in a similar time frame.
Trivia
- In the disc of the DVD release with "Blink" in it (disc 4) there is an Easter Egg on page 2 of scene selection of "Blink". It has the Doctor's Easter egg from the episode, unedited. To access it, you have to highlight "Blink" in the page and select it. Unlike other bonus scenes and deleted footage, the Easter egg remains "filmized" rather than being rendered on video, in keeping with it supposedly having been filmed in 1969.
- The portfolio that Larry keeps the list of "Easter Eggs" in has a Cunard Lines sticker on the back. Cunard Lines is the successor to White Star lines, which owned the "Titanic" - apparently a reference to the upcoming Christmas Special which will feature the "Titanic".
- Voted Best Story by readers of Doctor Who Magazine in their Season Three Season Survey.
- Billy Shipton comments that the police box isn't a real one as, "the phone's just a dummy, and the windows are the wrong size." This is a reference to the fact that the Tardis props over the years have been scaled down versions of the real thing.
