Summary: The Doctor and Rose arrive on Earth to see the 2012 Olympics in London, but get sidetracked by the mysterious disappearances of children on one street block in the city. The Doctor’s investigation leads them to a little girl who appears to have drawn pictures of each of the missing children. Then things get really strange, and the Doctor is faced with having to save everyone on planet Earth. It’s a race against time, but can he succeed in time?

MISTAKES/GOOFS

CREW: When the Doctor starts sniffing in a man's garden, just before Rose says she can smell metal, the camera is reflected in the house's window.
CONT: The Doctor puts one finger into the jar and then licks it, but after the view changes back to him from Rose he has two fingers in his mouth.
FAKE: The Police motorcycle in front of the Olympic runner is an S registration, meaning it was registered in 1998. The episode is set in 2012, and there is no way the Police would have such an old vehicle on active duty.

This episode was watched by 7.137 million viewers on its original transmission.
This episode takes place in summer but was actually filmed in January. Concerns over the fact that the actors' breath was sometimes visible (most notably in the scene where the neighbors are yelling at each other in the middle of the street) prompted the inclusion of the Doctor's line at the beginning referencing the cold and wondering if someone was sucking the heat out.
Dame Kelly Holmes (I) was offered a cameo as herself.
