Summary: A young man, Elton, makes a personal video about his encounters with aliens and the Doctor. It seems his first encounter with the Doctor was when Elton was a child. He also tells of a small group that was formed to collect information on the Doctor, which meets every week. The group has a lot of fun each week; that is until a strange man appears and he transforms the group into a search for the Doctor.However, all is not right with this stranger and his strange ways. Plus, what will the stranger do should they find the Doctor.

MISTAKES/GOOFS

CHAR: Elton says to Ursula that The Doctor didn't change/age since he last saw him, many years ago. However, about a year before this episode is set, The Doctor *did* in fact change in appearance, and as such Elton shouldn't have recognized him.

TRIVIA

The Hoix (the alien seen chasing and being chased by the Doctor and Rose at the beginning of the episode) was improvised out of bits and pieces the designers had lying around because they were originally only supposed to create the Abzorbaloff, the primary monster in the episode. The director's only request was "lots of drool". Additionally, the Hoix was not named until after filming they needed a name for the credits.
This episode was deliberately written to feature only a small amount of The Doctor and Rose. Due to the tight filming schedule, there was a requirement to shoot this episode at the same time as episodes 8 and 9 (called being "double backed".) This would not have been possible if this episode had large appearances of The Doctor and Rose.
Bad Wolf Reference: Mr Kennedy gives the LINDA members a picture Rose from Torchwood archives but there isn't any other information because of the "Bad Wolf Virus"
The alien in this episode was designed by a young boy named William Grantham. He had won a competition to design a Doctor Who monster run by the BBC children's TV programme Blue Peter in 2005. William's prize was to visit the set of Doctor Who and see his design being brought to life.
