- Almost all villains in Digimon Adventure come back at least one more time after the presumed death. Devimon returned in Adventure 02 as a prisoner of the Dark Whirpool. He was released, and took over The Digimon Kaiser's creation Kimeramon. Etemon returned later in the Dark Masters arc, specifically Puppetmon's arc. He returned as MetalEtemon, and was beaten by a recently digivolved Leomon and Zudomon. Myotismon, perhaps the most infamous character when it comes to never dying, returned twice after apparently "dying". Myotismon returned in his own story arc as VenomMyotismon, and then later resurfaced as MaloMyotismon and confirmed that he was behind the events of Adventure 02. Machinedramon, the third dark master, also returned in the video game Anode/Cathode Tamer, where he merged with a dying Kimeramon in order to become Millenniummon. Devimon, Etemon, Myotismon, and Piedmon were all revived by Millenniummon in the game. Diaboromon, the main villain of Our War Game, also resurfaced later in the movie Revenge of Diaboromon. The only villains to officially die and never came back are MetalSeadramon, Puppetmon, and Apocalymon.
