Summary: -

When Steve is shot and falls into a coma, Mark does all in his power to find the assailant, even threatening a suspect with bodily harm.

Mark finds himself the prime suspect when Steve's alleged attacker, Gordon Ganza, is murdered and all clues point directly towards Dr. Sloan.

At the beginning of the episode, Sgt. Archer tells Police Chief Masters (Fred Dryer) "It works for me". This was something that Fred Dryer commonly said when he played Sgt. Rick Hunter on Hunter (1984).
This episode served as a pilot for a spin-off starring Fred Dryer titled "The Chief". But it was not picked up.
