Hall is very watchable and magnetises the relative-morality meter his way with a stealthly deadpan charm. Darkly humourous concepts and tension laced with morsels of wit. I love the way the show incorporates the character's internal dialogue narration, which I think is oart of the strong appeal of this show's success. It allows us to become intimate and sympathetic with Dexter's motives and diverse thoughts which contract with his apparent benigness.	+1

hugh Nov 6, 2007 7:10PM	perljun, the answer is that it is PAY cable, it is on Showtime which is similar to HBO or the like. They can show pretty much show violence and sex all they want (no actual penetration). Dexter is pretty mild when it comes to Violence and sex when you compare it to some shows on Showtime and Cinemax and HBO for that matter with the Sapranos. Hope that answered your question.	+0

I read your comment when I was up to episode 4 or 5, so the whole last ep came as no surprise to me which was slightly irritating =(, but anywhos...still a great show. Time to start season 2.	+0

I live for smart twisted murderous perversion series! "Dexter" is very well written and astonishingly untraditional (as Original Showtime series usually are)	+6

My 2 cents, adore the opening sequence, take everyday breakfast & grooming give it a mildly disturbing twist and it puts u right in Dexter's slightly off world	+2
