Episode Quotes

Dexter Morgan: Oh God!
Travis Marshall: You gonna burn in hell.
Dexter Morgan: No. I think I belong right here. Because maybe there's a place for me in this world. Just as I am. Light cannot exist without darkness. Each has it purpose. And if there's a purpose to my darkness maybe is bring some balance to the world.
Dexter Morgan: [to Harrison] Whether you're a lion or a lamb, I'll always love you.

Mistakes/Goofs

  • Goof (continuity error): Dexter never would have received Louis (the intern's) mysterious package. Dexter's driver's license lists him at 8240 Palm Terrace, while Louis addressed the package to 8420 Palm Terrace.
  • Goof (revealing mistake): Near the end of the episode, Dexter gets hold of an old sword, used earlier for slashing a man to death on screen. A close-up on the blade clearly shows it's completely flat and blunt, and is likely made out of sheet metal. Also, moments later Dexter is shown pressing a knife against a man's forehead, and the blade bends significantly, revealing it's made out of rubber/plastic.

Trivia

  • According to his driver's license, Dexter was born on 02/01/1971.
  • When Travis 'Doomsday Killer' Marshall is looking at Dexter's driver's license, the last three digits are shown as "66-6".
  • The boat that rescues Dexter from the ocean when it looks like his end is near is named the 'Milagro' which means Miracle in Spanish.
