Mistakes/Goofs
- Goof (revealing mistake): When dexter uses the axe to free Travis from the chains, he breaks the chain between two shackles. When Travis stands up, somehow that allowed him to remove the shackles from his wrists also.
Trivia
- SPOILER: According to show runner Scott Buck, until the reveal at the end of this episode only Michael C. Hall and Edward James Olmos among the actors knew that Gellar had been dead all along. The directors did not know, requiring Olmos to be "the governor of his character" in for example advising other actors not to look at Gellar during scenes.
- Dexter's arrival at the tableau located at The University of Tallahasee was actually filmed at California State University Long Beach. The building which Dexter approaches (Brumman Hall) is actually the Student Union at CSULB.
