Dexter Morgan: How much coffee are you drinking?
Lumen Ann Pierce: A lot. I have to stay awake. What if they come for me at night?
Dexter Morgan: [thinking] She's stressed, on edge. The way I feel when I've gone too long without putting someone on my table.
Lumen Ann Pierce: You said you'd help me.
Dexter Morgan: I did. I just don't know that helping you kill someone is actually helping you.
Lumen Ann Pierce: [sighs] This is all I think about. Don't back out now. This is important to me.
Dexter Morgan: [sighs, thinking] Truth is, I actually want to help her... for some very complicated reasons.
Dexter Morgan: [aloud] If we want Cole for ourselves, I have to derail the police investigation, which means giving them another suspect.
Lumen Ann Pierce: Who?
Dexter Morgan: The man who actually killed all those girls: Boyd Fowler.
Lumen Ann Pierce: No. That's not what I want.
Dexter Morgan: I promise you, the police will take care of it.

Mistakes/Goofs
- Goof (factual errors): When Dexter comes to his home where Lumen is staying, he shows her the pictures of Cole Harmon on his phone, the Phone's model is listed as C0 but actually the phone that Dexter is using is Nokia N8. (at around 1 min)
- Goof (plot holes): When the men arrive at the swamp where the barrel are that need picking up.; they are all in the pickup. After they finish loading the barrels they are paid off and just walk away. Since Dexter established that this place is out in the middle of nowhere they would need a ride back.
- Goof (factual errors): (at around 30 mins) When Dexter comes to his home where Lumen is staying, he shows her the pictures of Cole Harmon on his phone, the Phone's model is listed as C0 but actually the phone that dexter is using is Nokia N8.
- Goof (revealing mistake): Every so often when Cole Harmon is speaking his native British accent comes through.
- Goof (revealing mistake): When Dexter comes to his home where Lumen is staying, he shows her the pictures of Cole Harmon on his phone, the Phone's model is listed as C0 but actually the phone that Dexter is using is Nokia N8.
