Summary: Dexter continues to live his life according to his newly revised code. Deb is asked to help IA by investigating another officer. Batista is promoted to Sergeant ( Doake's old title). While trying to apprehend a new victim, Dex stumbles upon someone not in the plan. After an altercation, Dex is forced to kill the unknown man. Immediately after, the unknown man is recognized as the ADA's brother. The ADA, Miguel Prado (Jimmy Smits), invites Dex to his slain brother's wake. Dex blows off Deb for their annual celebration of Harry's birthday. Rita tells Dex she is pregnant.

MISTAKES/GOOFS

CONT: When Dexter arrives at the scene of Teegan's murder, he is talking with Debra as they approach the body. Depending on the angle, the camera strap around Dexter's neck flips, sometimes showing "Nikon" and sometimes showing the side without "Nikon". In the same scene, newly promoted Sgt. Batista is wearing his gold shield showing that he is a Sgt. In a later scene, the Lt. is presenting him with the gold shield.
