MISTAKES/GOOFS

CONT: George slips over the debris at Farmer's market, dropping her purse as she falls and leaving it. Later when she enters Der Waffle Haus, she has the bag.
CONT: The position of the newspaper on the desk, that Roxy's meter reader commander puts down, as he talks to her.
FACT: Rube refers to Bacchus and Neptune as "Greek Gods" - in fact, they're Roman (the Greek equivalents being Dionysus and Poseidon), which Rube (being well-read enough to mention them in the first place) should know.
GEOG: When George's parents are in the car discussing their marriage after leaving a counseling session, a Royal Canadian mounted police cruiser drives by, twice.
GEOG: In front of the children's indoor playground, we see a Save-On-Foods grocery store and a Simon Fraser University street lamp banner. Save-On-Foods is a grocery chain in British Columbia and Alberta, and SFU is a university in Burnaby, British Columbia. However, the setting is "Seattle."

TRIVIA

A scene with a group of Metermaids (featuring secondary character "Roxy") is a direct spoof of the opening Roll Call scenes from "Hill Street Blues" (1981), down to the style of camera work, a balding cop running the meeting (finishing it with Hill Street Blues' Character Phil Esterhaus's signature line "be careful out there"), and finishing with the meter maid mini-trucks leaving the station ala the squad cars from Hill Street Blues (while the Hill Street Blues theme plays int he background).
