Damages- Show Reviews |

This show is well written, excellent acting, and enough twists and turns to keep you guessing till the end. I am looking forward to season02. I have read S02 of Damages may not air until 2009. It sounds like FX has postponed, in part because of the Olympics...but the good news is that FX has ordered 2 more seasons, so we have 26 more episodes to look forward to! |

When I heard that the actress Glen Close would participate of a TV series and that her personage would be the main one, I became very interested in watch Damages. Glen Close always was very careful with her choices and the projects which participate are always of high quality. But, Damages exceeded my expectations! Who thinks that Damages is more one law show, a puppy of the `Law and Order' generation, is totally wrong! Damages is a thriller, that it uses as theme, the world of power of the big corporations and its executives and the world of the big law offices, that use not ethical ways, to reach its objectives. A world where dollars speak and they talk in the "millions"! Glen Close is not the only one in delighting us with her performance, veteran actors and experienced ones, as well as strangers or still little known, provide us amazing moments with their performances. With an impeccable production, impressive dialogues of high quality and performances, Damages conquered me, little by little, creating an expectation and an almost agonizing curiosity until the end, through the use of flashback techniques. Flashback is one very difficult technique that rare obtains the attention of the audience, due to mental confusion that this can cause, but in Damages this was used with distinction for its director, during all season. The first season finished and it left us some tracks of what we can wait of the next season, making us count the days until its premieres. Two seasons are guaranteed already. Soo… We will have a lot to comment in the future. :) "Thanks Kolbi, for all the insights and help!" |

Just watched first 2 episodes here (uk) on BBC1 The plot twists so far are great, I can't fathom out where the story is going (or rather how it ends up where it does) but I mean that as a compliment. I have no idea what to expect from the next episode, but i can't wait |

I'm watching the season again and I'm noticing a whole lot more than I did the first time through. Sign of a really well produced and written show. I hope they do a Season 2 when the strike is over. |

This first season is going to be a tough act to follow with all the characters they killed off, etc. I am curious to see where it goes from here and if they can maintain the same intensity. |

I love the show! I think it is well done. I just wish the story would be told from start to finish. The flash backs are starting to get confusing, and a bit distracting. |

@ redgeit I think the story is following a logical path. You have the story of the present, and the story of the past which I assume will conclude at what happened in the first scene of the first episode. The story of the present is progressing slowly (its only gone a day or so) while the story of the past is progressing weeks every episode (it started off at 6 moths earlier, now I think it is up to 3 months earlier). It's easy to tell the difference between the past and present because the present has a different filming style. |
