Detective Lindsay Monroe: How do we find one valuable, antique volume in Manhattan that's been soaked in water much less thallium?
Detective Mac Taylor: With a little reading on the subject.

Dr. Sheldon Hawkes: [walking into the room] How are you doing?
Dr. Sid Hammerback: Let's just say I know how a microwave burrito feels. But I should also say thank you. I owe a great deal of my recovery to you.
Dr. Sheldon Hawkes: Aw, come on. That was nothing. You would do the same for me.
Dr. Sheldon Hawkes: As a matter of fact, I would.

Detective Mac Taylor: If you get tired of that Journal, I thought you might enjoy a little light reading. [hands him a new edition of the Tibetan Book of the Dead]
Dr. Sid Hammerback: Oh yeah. A clean copy, I presume?

Mistakes/Goofs
- Goof (plot holes): Thallium-201 has a half-life of only 73 hours. More than 99% of it would have decayed in 15 days (5 half-lives). This would have made it useless after being stored in a closed warehouse for months/years. It certainly couldn't be detected (as thallium, anyway) by even the best CSIs. These short lived isotopes typically are made, rushed to hospitals and used within a few hours to ensure their potency.
