Summary: Five days after surviving a horrific car accident, the woman who lost control of her car while driving home drunk is murdered in her hospital room shortly after coming out of a coma. Despite being paralyzed from the waist down, the doctors gave the victim a good chance for recovery, so the team must determine who wanted her dead in spite of her prognosis. Meanwhile, Sheldon returns to the hospital where he once worked as a promising surgeon and his investigation opens old wounds that led to his departure and caused him to become a medical examiner.

Adam Ross: Oh just some trace that Sid found in the crease of our vic's mouth. Mac asked me to I.D. it.

Dr. Sid Hammerback: Mac, been meaning to ask. I'd like you to consider coming to our house for Thanksgiving this year. My daughter's coming in, cousins from Philly. We do a really nice job. I use a Collins scalpel to carve the bird, it gets the meat paper thin.
Detective Mac Taylor: I appreciate the offer, Sid.
Dr. Sid Hammerback: Now you can't spend the holidays alone again. I'll drag you if I have to.
Detective Mac Taylor: You're gonna have to add some meat to that skinny frame of yours if you're gonna be making threats, and I was about to say I do have plans this year, thank you.

MISTAKES/GOOFS

FACT: In Hawkes flashback to his dying patient at the hospital he tells the nurses "adrenaline". In hospitals they don't use natural adrenaline, they use synthetic adrenaline, more commonly known as epinephrine. As a MD, Hawkes would know better.
