Summary: The team finds three young women, all of who appear to have been brutalized in the same way. The only witness they have is the surviving young woman, who can communicate only through blinking. Photographs found at one of the crime scenes lead the team to a couple that had sponsored one of the victims, and the boyfriend who claims he hasn't spoken to her in weeks.

I never told anybody this, but I got rid of everything that reminded me of Claire. Too painful. The one thing I couldn't throw away was that beach ball. Her breath is still in there.

MISTAKES/GOOFS

CHAR: Mac tells the team they need to search a garbage barge for evidence. Danny asks, "What's the dimensions on the barge?" Mac: "About 140 by 38 feet." Danny: "Half the size of a football field." A football field, excluding the end zones, is 300 feet by 160 feet. The barge is almost half the length of a football field, but in terms of area, the barge is only about 1/9 the size of a football field.
PLOT: The team finds a film camera from which someone has ripped the film. Detectives decide that since the suspect only tore away part of the film that they could develop what wasn't taken. However, the only film remaining undamaged would also be unexposed film: i.e., no images. However, they magically get an image to help in their investigation.

TRIVIA

Mac Taylor's name is derived from two sources. 'Mac' from Gary Sinise's son, McCanna, (said to be Mac's real name on the show as well) and 'Taylor' from Lt. Dan Taylor, Gary's character in Forrest Gump.
