Mistakes/Goofs

  • Goof (factual errors): At a melting point of 1730 K, Platinum is one of the hottest-melting metals of all. Good luck trying to melt a platinum wire that thick with some puny lighting current.
  • Goof (anachronisms): When Horatio is investigating the cell phone used to blow up Kyle's bodyguard in the prison work yard, he recognizes a Pensacola telephone number. The number shown has a 904 area code. 904 ceased to be the area code for the Pensacola area long before CSI Miami first aired. 904 now refers to the Jacksonville area; the new area code for Pensacola is 850.
  • Goof (factual errors): While it may be possible to absorb heroin onto platinum fibers, there is no way to prevent models wearing heroin-soaked clothes from absorbing the drug through the skin. At the very least, they would get very high, if not killed by overdose. Also, not even in its 'purest form' is heroin a liquid.
