Summary: When two individuals are murdered in their home, evidence seems to indicate that the suspect is from New York. Horatio heads to the Big Apple in order to find his man, and is assisted by Detective Mac Taylor, who believes that the murder of a police officer may be connected to the crimes that Horatio is investigating.

MISTAKES/GOOFS

FACT: When Horatio Caine meets with Detective Mac Taylor, they talk about the death penalty. When Mac says they have the death penalty in New York, Horatio reminds him that they haven't executed anyone since 1976. The actual last time someone was executed in New York was on June 15, 1963 when Eddie Mays went to the electric chair for murder and robbery. Shortly thereafter, the New York Court of Appeals found the death penalty unconstitutional. Nobody has been executed in New York to date since.
CONT: In the Hanover residence, Detective Bonasera is talking with the doorman and in one wide shot the floor around where they are standing in covered with numbered yellow evidence markers. In the next wide shot, the markers are gone.
GEOG: When Danny Messier pulls up the last known address of Davey Penrod the address appears 489 E112th Street, which is located in the East Harlem section of New York. The scene then cuts to the West Harlem section of New York. The actual scene location is Broadway & 125th Street. Geologically, when you go west of 5th Avenue the streets then turn into west and the numeric street. Plus, all the subway cars run underground in East Harlem. With the exception of the Metro North that runs on Park Avenue. However, the Metro North is a commuter railroad that expands beyond the New York City limits, not a subway train.
