The Reaper: [Aaron and Hotch are fighting, and Foyet pulls out a knife while Hotch is down] After I finish you, I'm gonna find that little bastard son of yours. And I'm gonna show him both of his dead parents! And I'm gonna tell him it was all your fault! And then I'm gonna [Hotch strikes him in the calf]... OWW! [fighting resumes]

Erin Strauss: [Pretiss enters interrogation room where Strauss is waiting] Agent Prentiss.
Emily Prentiss: [snarling icily] Ma'am.
Erin Strauss: We understand that Agent Hotchner managed to separate himself from the rest of the team.
Emily Prentiss: [with sarcasm] He didn't "manage" to do that. When Marshall Kassmeyer was in the ambulance...
Erin Strauss: [interrrupting]... Agent Hotchner volunteered to ride along...
Emily Prentiss: [interrupting back]... to get answers before he lost consciousness.
Erin Strauss: Why didn't you go with him?
Emily Prentiss: It didn't seem necessary.
Erin Strauss: Did he tell you that?
Emily Prentiss: [angry] Is that what you're looking for? A way to blame this on him? What good could that possibly do?
Erin Strauss: Agent Hotchner was looking for an opportunity to separate himself from the team, and he found one.
Emily Prentiss: That isn't the truth!
Erin Strauss: He was desperate and he didn't want someone with a clear head to stop him.
Emily Prentiss: Is there a question in there somewhere?

Aaron 'Hotch' Hotchner: [concluding his remarks in the investigation regarding George Foyet's death... he's talking about Haley's murder by Foyet to Strauss]... and there was nothing that I could do for her. She was already...
Erin Strauss: [puts her glasses on and reads report, uncharacteristically choking back tears] She died fairly quickly... one of the wounds severed her aorta, and they don't think that she... [removes glasses] and they don't think she suffered much. Agent Hotchner, what do you think would have happened if George Foyet had gotten up from that floor? If you didn't kill him?
Aaron 'Hotch' Hotchner: [quietly] I don't have to think. I know that he would have tried to kill my son too.
Erin Strauss: That's good enough for me. [turns recorder off and turns to other two investigators] Any questions? [both shake their heads]
Erin Strauss: Agent Hotchner, I'm so sorry for your loss. And, if you or your son need anything...
Aaron 'Hotch' Hotchner: Thank you.
