Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): The coroner declares that the eyes have 6 muscles when in fact, if you count the globe itself, which is what the unsub is removing, there are actually only 4 muscles total. Two are located on either side of the globe behind the skin horizontally and two others beneath the skin at the top and bottom vertically. If you take into account the unsub's removal of the eye pair, that comes up to 8 muscles, not 6. The optic nerve is simply that, a nerve and would not be counted among the actual proprietary muscles for this case.
