Summary: The BAU team travels to New Orleans to track a serial killer who is again killing men throughout the city after a 15 month break. New Orleans officials believed that the serial killer that haunted the streets of the city was killed in Hurricane Katrina since the murders ended. With all of the case files and evidence missing in the hurricane's aftermath, Hotch, Gideon and the team have only one clue to go on -- a single word, "Jones," written on the wall of the lead detective's office just moments before he died in the flood waters. Meanwhile, Reid struggles with the aftermath of being taken hostage and meets up with an old rival.

MISTAKES/GOOFS

FACT: There is no major airport (of a size to accommodate the BAU plane) on the island of Galveston. The agents would require at least an hour (considerably more, depending on the time of day) to travel from Houston to Galveston; this time lapse was not reflected in the story at all.
CHAR: The woman who supposedly lived in Galveston, TX, all her life speaks with a "deep south" accent, more appropriate to Mississippi or Alabama. Galveston natives have a very generic accent, due to the large variety in population there.

TRIVIA

Each episode has a voice-over in one of the early sequences, and again in the concluding one, discussing a quote by a well-known author or poet. The quote ties in to the case in the episode and by revisiting it at the end of the episode a sense of conclusion is achieved. The voice-over is most often given by Gideon, but occasionally Hotchner, Reid, Elle, and even JJ have done so, as well. The only episode to break from this is "Jones" (2nd season), which ends with a scene where Reid and Gideon discuss Reid’s problems following being captured and subjected to torture by an unsub in the episode "Revelations" (three episodes earlier).
