Countdown (UK)
Countdown is the first programme broadcast on Channel 4 on 2 November 1982. It is a numbers and letters game between two contestants, and was always presented by Richard Whiteley and Carol Vorderman. Following Richard's death the show returned with Des Lynam as host(Grandstand). But he was soon replaced by comedian/singer Des O'Connor. | ||||||||||||
