Episode 04 - The label of the Serbian rum Pierce brought says "Generic Rum" in Cyrillic.
Episode 14 - The structure, style, and music used in this episode are parodies of the documentary films of Ken Burns, especially his 1990 five-night epic account of the Civil War. This reference is extended all the way to the PBS-style pledge drive plea for donations after the end credits.
Episode 05 - Troy mentions that the Dean got taco meat from the army. It was a biological weapon mistaken for taco meat that touched off the plot of "Epidemiology" the previous year.
Episode 04 - In the epilogue, when Abed briefly "senses" something is amiss, he and Troy are watching "Inspector Spacetime" in their apartment.
