I saw the first 2 episodes and must admit I really like it. An, admittedly typical, crime story with LAUGHS. Series with jokes built in (Castle, sometimes Mentalist or Bones) are usually easier to watch than if this were not the case (usually CSI NY, Flashpoint). Nevertheless, the series is going to have a tough time to survive. Nothing really new is offered and it is extremely difficult to keep a series funny over a longer period of time without falling back into all to obvious clichees and not-so-funny-simple-jokes. Entertaining as it is - and it really is - I hope it stays that way. It reminds me of The Persuaders and a little bit like Starsky & Hutch. P.S. seems to me, it is IN to have someone with a British accent on the show these days. Glad it's Sonya Walger. Many people know her from a number of series. |
