Season 3 Trivia

  • Episode 04 - Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): The driver and Sgt Saunders are both smoking cigarettes. However, the truck they're in is carrying a cargo of ammunition and gasoline, so smoking would be a pretty foolish thing for them to do.
  • Episode 04 - The only episode of the series that had subtitles.
  • Episode 04 - Goof (factual errors): The German tank crewmen are shown wearing berets ("Schutzmutze"). These were discontinued in 1941 and replaced with a different type of cap.
  • Episode 24 - Some stock footage is of American Spitfire aircraft. British planes operated under a reverse 'lend lease' program during the war by USAAF.
  • Episode 04 - Goof (factual errors): During the introduction, stock footage is shown that is supposed to represent a tank battle between American and German forces in 1944. Some of the stock footage depicts German, French, and British tanks from 1939-1940.
