Summary: While they investigate the murder, Annabeth and Maureen unravel a culture of obsession and rivalry amid a group of formerly employed mothers who run their children's after-school activities like they would a major corporation. As they focus on one mother who they suspect of having an affair with the victim, they discover that the parents' activities included a lot more than just taking care of their children.
