Ultra-violent,very beautifully drawn anime,based on the manga.The story follows Clare, a young Claymore who is part of an organization that operate by strict honor codes and iron-clad rules. 47 female warriors, each with their own number from 1-47,single digits being the most powerful ones. Their main function is to protect humans from the demon-like Yoma. They are half Yoma themselves and therefor they have superhuman powers known as "Yoki",but must be careful not to over-use it, or they might "Awaken" which means they lose their humanity all in all and become fearful monsters known as "Awakened Beings". The Claymore are often sent off in groups to slay these Awakened Beings,something that results in long hard and intense battles. Awesome anime, definitely not for kids. Very action packed and stylish.Top notch animation. One of the best anime shows I have ever seen. |
