The Amer. animated tv series was produced by Walt Disney. Despite episodes being self-contained, relationships between the characters were seemlessly continuous, evolving over the series. Chip is very dedicated to his detective work, & generally attempts to be serious & responsible, occasionally to the point of humorlessness, he attempts to keep Dale under control in an almost parent-like fashion.
