Summary: When a witch's familiar turns evil, the human product tries to get himself killed by the Halliwells nine times. Should he succeed, he will become a powerful and immortal warlock. Meanwhile, three and a half years in the past, before the sisters' powers were released, Grams, Prue and Piper must come to grips with the the departure of Phoebe to New York after her arrest for shoplifting, and the ill-health of Grams.

MISTAKES/GOOFS

CONT: Just before Grams dies, she places the Book of Shadows in a trunk which is to the right of the attic door. In the series pilot Phoebe finds the trunk in front of the window.

TRIVIA

Some of the iconic moments of the mythology of the Halliwell witches are acted out in flashes from the past.
The title is a play on the title of another witch show "Bewitched" (1964).
Piper worked in a bank before her grandmother died, but still exhibited a talent for cooking.
