Episode Quotes

Richard Castle: "Don't leave town"? Don't you need probable cause for something like that?
NYPD Detective Kate Beckett: Yeah, well, he doesn't know that, does he?
Richard Castle: You can *lie* like that? That is so cool!
Richard Castle: Well, apparently, in an actual homicide, they don't know who did it until the guy gets caught.
Richard Castle: Well, your mother and I decided if someone was going to screw you up, we wanted it to be me. Only, you managed to turn out fine somehow anyway.

Mistakes/Goofs

  • Goof (continuity error): In the final scene, you see Castle typing on his laptop. He closes the laptop and puts it on his desk. Seconds later when he's looking at the photograph, you can see the laptop open again on the desk in the background. When the camera is panning out, it appears to be closed again.
  • Goof (revealing mistake): When Castle and Beckett are talking to Lanie over the corpse of the nanny, the dead girl's eye moves when we first see her.
  • Goof (errors in geography): When Castle and Beckett are entering the apartment building to investigate the time variance on the elevator tapes, the exterior shot shows a green canopy with "The Langham" and "715" to note the name of the building and street address. This is obviously The Langham in Los Angeles which is located at 715 S. Normandie Ave. in Koreatown. The Langham in New York is at 135 Central Park West.

Trivia

  • Nathan Fillion's character, Castle mentions his first novel being inspired by One Life to Live. Fillion played Joey Buchanan on the daytime soap from 1994-97 and a short reprise in 2007.
  • Len Lesser's last appearance.
