• The first ever Care Bears television episode, it was produced by DiC Entertainment and premiered in syndication half a year after The Care Bears Movie (1985) came out. The following September, Nelvana took over production of the series as a follow-up to Care Bears Movie II: A New Generation (1986). What soon followed became part of the most-remembered and recognised era of the animated franchise.
