Life has been a rocky road of ups and downs for Hank Moody since the famed novelist & NYC transplant relocated to Los Angeles. He suffered through a terrible case of writer's block, major plagiarism, and Hollywood's crappy adaptation of his prized tome. But just as he got back on track penning the memoirs for a rock music legend, his biography subject overdosed – leaving Hank scrambling once again. Now he's doing the best he can to raise a teenage daughter on his own while trying to resist temptation as a new writing professor at a local university. It may sound desperate, but he enjoys life and owns all his various vices — drink, drugs and women — with a refreshing sense of honesty and unapologetic candor. He's holding it together while falling apart, and he doesn't mind it one bit.
