Revival of the 1963 cop thriller continued the adventures of millionaire Amos Burke, a senior Los Angeles police officer. Burke was now a widower. His son Peter is a detective under his command. The revival continued with many of the hallmarks of the old show with glamorous backgrounds, convoluted plots and big-name guest stars.
