  • Goof (continuity error): Cordelia gets out of the Driver's Ed car and shuts the door. In the next scene, the door is open, and when the truck hits it, it slams the door shut, although the door was, as far as we have seen, already shut.

  • Goof (continuity error): Buffy finds the science teachers glasses on the floor, and she puts them on the table. In one shot she places them with the legs folded out right side up, and then in the close-up, the legs are folded in. In the next shot, the glasses are upside down on the table.

  • Goof (continuity error): At the conclusion of the episode, Owen is trying to set up another date with Buffy. In the background a woman in a red and black jacket carrying a red bag walks up the stairs. Seconds later, in the next shot of Owen, the same woman is walking up the stairs without the bag. Seconds after that, in the next shot of Buffy, the same woman with the same red bag on her shoulder is walking by at ground level.
  • Goof (revealing mistake): At the funeral home, when the new vampire awakens, his reflection can be seen in the glass cabinet doors behind him.
  • Goof (continuity error): When Angel, Willow and Xander are talking to Buffy and Owen, Buffy's height constantly changes between shots. Sometimes she's standing on a platform (so she can fit in the same shot as the super-tall Owen), sometimes she's not.
  • Goof (revealing mistake): At the funeral home, when Buffy and Giles open up the different drawers to look for the Bretheren, they open the same drawer every time. The crew made a few changes in the background and Buffy is probably on a platform the second time she looks, but it's the same. You can tell by the smudges on the inside of the door.
  • Goof (factual errors): When Willow is watching the hyena footage on her computer in the library, most of the footage of the animals tearing at a carcass is actually of African wild dogs, not hyenas. Only the close-up footage initially is hyenas.

  • Goof (revealing mistake): The Hyena exhibit is a very dangerous design. There is no guardrail or similar barrier to keep visitors at a safe distance. Anyone can walk up to the bars and get mauled, as the bars are wide enough for people to stick their arms or legs through. In fact, the bars are so wide apart that not only could skinny people or children squeeze completely through, but the hyenas could simply walk out of their exhibit.
  • Goof (factual errors): Willow is looking up videos of hyenas feeding; while the first video is correct, the following videos are not of hyenas, but actually of African wild dogs.

While running through the woods she is seen wearing the same coat but when she gets to the hyena exhibit, she is wearing a brown suede coat instead.

However, it is possible that Angel just didn't want to get into an explanation about this.

Before the information pops up on Fritz's screen, a normal Macintosh desktop can be seen with a folder icon labeled "Buffy...I, Robot". The menu bar disappears as the application that runs the computer's animation begins and is replaced with a different menu bar.
  • Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): In the opening scene, one of the monks says an Italian word incorrectly. He states "viene" when in fact the correct wording to use would have been "vieni".
