MISTAKES/GOOFS
- CREW: At 24:31, as Willow and Buffy enter Tara's room, there is a mirror to the left of the door. It has a scarf draped over it to prevent it from reflecting things it shouldn't, but the bottom right corner is still exposed and in it you can see glimpses not only of Willow and Buffy but of the crew moving around behind the camera.
TRIVIA
- Brad Kane (I) provided the singing voice for Jonathan (played by Danny Strong). Kane had earlier appeared in the episode "The Prom" as Tucker (the guy who trains the demons to attack the students at the prom) whose brother Andrew went on to become one of the Trio with Jonathan.
- On her DVD commentary, writer Jane Espenson said that just before the shooting started, actor Danny Strong was brought in for a full day of photo shoots (to create all the Jonathan-related props seen throughout the episode, from a basketball poster to Xander's trading card collection, various advertisements, and a swimsuit calender). Espenson said that Strong had not yet read the script or heard the premise of the episode, but the photo shoot made him think that it might require more of him than his usual background or secondary character participation in the show.
- In "Angel" (1999) season 5 episode Underneath, Illyria mentions a world entirely filled with shrimp. This, of course, is a nod to Anya and Buffy talking about the shrimp world.
- Julie Costello (I) and Shawnie Costello, who play the Swedish twin sisters Ilsa and Inga, bedmates for Jonathan, are from Kentucky, and according to Jane Espenson, their Swedish accents were dubbed in.
- The opening credits are changed specifically for the episode to included shots of Jonathan performing heroic acts.
