The actor Brad Kane (I) who portrays Tuker Wells on this episode had already worked with Sarah Michelle Gellar on the TV show "Girl Talk" (1989).
Buffy's prom dress was designed by couturier Pamela Dennis, by request from Sarah Michelle Gellar. Gellar could not sit down in the dress once it was on her.
The band at the prom can be heard singing the lines, "Aladdin and his lamp". Brad Kane (I), who guest-starred in the episode as Tucker, was the singing voice for Aladdin in all three of the Disney films.
