MISTAKES/GOOFS

CREW: At two minutes in, as Spike crashes through the sign, the mast of the mobile lighting tower that is illuminating the scene is visible in the distance in the upper left corner of the frame.
BOOM: At 16:43, as Xander walks toward Willow in the chemistry lab, the tip of the boom microphone dips into the frame.
CHAR: Spike is seen disinfecting his hand burn with alcohol, but this would be unnecessary, as vampires cannot be infected by any natural diseases.

TRIVIA

As a child, Charisma Carpenter really was impaled on a rebar. She was playing in the backyard of her house, where they were building a pool. There was no fence around it, and she slipped in and punctured her stomach on a piece of rebar poking out of the concrete.
After seeing James Marsters's performance in this episode, the writers decided he would become a regular cast member in the next season.
