Episode Quotes
 | Season 2 / Episode 19: - I Only Have Eyes For You
Willow: It says a student murdered a teacher on the night of the Sadie Hawkins dance. The rumor was they were having an affair and she tried to break it off. After he killed her, he went into the music room and shot himself. Xander: Ladies and Gentlemen - we have a ghost. |
 | Season 2 / Episode 19: - I Only Have Eyes For You
Xander: He killed a person and killed himself. Those are pretty much two of the dumbest things you could do. Willow: I know, but... Well, don't you feel kind of bad for them? Buffy: Sure I feel lousy. For her. He's a murderer and he should pay for it. Willow: With his life? Buffy: No, he should be doing sixty years in a prison, breaking rocks and making special friends with Roscoe the Weightlifter. Xander: Yikes. The quality of mercy is not Buffy. |

MISTAKES/GOOFS
- FACT: The murder-suicide of the student and teacher happened in 1955 but the song called I Only Have Eyes For You which was sung by The Flamingos came out in 1959. This means that the student who killed his teacher couldn't have listened to the record in 1955 since the record wasn't released until 1959.
- PLOT: During the scene early on in the computer lab, Willow comments to Giles that she is using the lesson plans that Ms. Calendar had saved on her computer. This isn't possible, as Ms. Calendar's computer was destroyed, engulfed in flames, during her altercation with Angelus in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (1997) {Passion (#2.17)}.
- CONT: When the 1955 yearbook falls from the bookshelf in Principal Snyder's office, it's open, but when Buffy goes to pick it up, it's closed.
- CONT: When the wasps first chase the Scoobies out of the school, Buffy has to kick the front entrance doors open, breaking the glass and wood. Later when Buffy returns and is let in the school by the wasps the doors appear to be totally undamaged. This is because the wood-and-glass doors Buffy kicked open were on the studio set of Sunnydale High, while the undamaged doors, which are all-glass, are at the actual high school in Torrance, CA that doubles for Sunnydale High.
- CONT: (At 32:40) As the Scoobies return to the school for the second time looking for Buffy, it is clearly obvious that while standing in front of the school, it's clearly the same shot as the first time they stand in front of the school. This is particularly noticeable because you can clearly see Buffy, who's inside the building at the time, also standing in the group.
TRIVIA
- Whedon said in an interview with TV Guide that he got the idea for an Angel spin-off during the scenes where David Boreanaz portrayed Angelus, who was possessed by a female spirit.
- The scene when ghosts Grace and James take over Angel and Buffy's bodies was filmed first with Meredith Salenger and Christopher Gorham playing Grace and James. This was so that the film could be watched and mimicked by Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz when it came their turn to film it.
- Meredith Salenger's name is misspelled in the opening credits. It reads Meredith Salinger.
