Peggy Fitzgerald: [working in the garden] That's 'cause no one's home.
Tommy Caffee: Well, that's funny because both your cars are here. Is he inside?
Peggy Fitzgerald: Not that you would know.
Tommy Caffee: And if I asked to use your bathroom?
Peggy Fitzgerald: I'd tell you that the toilet exploded just this morning.

Peggy Fitzgerald: Sink exploded, too.

Tommy Caffee: He wanted a favor and I said no.
Peggy Fitzgerald: He wanted a personal favor.
Tommy Caffee: Yeah, but it would have been illogical for me to say yes.
Peggy Fitzgerald: Logic is business. He wouldn't have minded if you turned down a business favor. A personal favor - - that's no logic. In fact, there's no reason in the world why you should agree to a personal favor. That's what makes it personal.
Tommy Caffee: [pauses] . All right. [He walks away]

Mistakes/Goofs
- Goof (revealing mistake): In the opening, when Freddie Cork's son is about to leap off the overpass, you can see a police car at the top of the frame, not moving. (This was part of the police detail that shut down that section of highway for filming.)
