Nicholas lives in the Bergers/Silvers apartment building. He's in the same grade as Nathaniel, but one gets the feeling he has "stayed back" and is a year or two older than his friend. Nicholas is a bit of a sharper and knows a lot about betting on horse races and card games. His parents are Tony and Lucille, and his dad drives a cab.
