Alan Shore: Don't be ridiculous...
Denny Crane: Well, what better way to go out? My last case - in front of the Supreme Court. Now there's a finale, Alan.
Alan Shore: They should put it on TV.
Denny Crane: We'd get ratings.
Alan Shore: If they promoted us. Of course, I think there's a law against promoting us.
Denny Crane: Seems to be.
Alan Shore: [Later in scene] Oh, won't they be so happy to see us again?
Denny Crane: The rematch.
Alan Shore: [laughs] The rematch.
Denny Crane: Grand finale.

Season 5 Trivia

  • Episode 03 - Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When Denny shoots the mugger, he says "Right foot!" as he shoots the mugger's left foot and "Left foot!" as he shoots the right.
  • Episode 11 - Henry Gibson's final television show performance.
  • Episode 11 - Carl begins to mention the only show on TV who has stars over 50, and then stops in fear of "breaking the wall". He is of course referring to Boston Legal itself, who is known for its habit of constantly breaking the 4th wall.
  • Episode 13 - Last show of series.
  • Episode 05 - Goof (factual errors): DNA-Testing for half siblings need not be inconclusive but can be highly reliable, especially when - as in this case - the mother's DNA is also available for testing.
