Mistakes/Goofs
- Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Hodgins claims to find a "grommet" when sifting through the goo. Bones asks for it, he hands her a toupee screw. A grommet is a metal ring used to protect a hole in cloth.
- Goof (continuity error): When Booth and Brennan are questioning Dunwood in the interrogation room, the top of a wine bottle can be seen sitting on the table when the camera faces Dunwood. The camera switches to a shot of Booth where we see him pick up and hold the bottle. The camera then goes back to the shot of Dunwood and we can see the top of the bottle on the table again. When the shot returns to Booth, he is still holding the bottle as if he had never set it down.
- Goof (plot holes): When the wine barrel was being examined it was revealed that the wine had turned into a viscous vinegar-like liquid. This would have been noticeable during the wine tasting as would the rancid smell.

- Stewie was allowed to appear in this episode because Bones & Family Guy are both owned and broadcasted on FOX network channels.
