The Beast Wars on prehistoric Earth are over. The Maximals won and preserved the past for the battle between the Autobots and Decepticons. The Maximals have used the shuttle from the Ark and are returning to Cybertron. Upon arriving, the crew blacks-out and awakes to a desolate and barren home with no fellow transformers anywhere. Furthermore, many of the returning Maximals are missing as well.
