Episode Quotes
Capt. Apollo: I came from a world where the people believed that the opposite of war was peace. We found out the hard way that the opposite of war is more often slavery.
Col. Tigh: [on viewscreen] Commander?
Commander Adama: Yes, Colonel?
Col. Tigh: [on viewscreen] You'd better get up to the bridge right away.
Commander Adama: What is it?
Col. Tigh: [on viewscreen] I haven't the slightest idea, Commander. Certainly nothing that makes any sense.

General Maxwell: The Eastern Alliance has launched...
President: Launched what?
General Maxwell: Everything they have!
President: Er, that's... That's not possible. I... I have this treaty. They've signed it!
General Maxwell: Well, frame it, but hurry.

Mistakes/Goofs
- Goof (continuity error): Despite saying several times that he has no body and being told by Starbuck the Starbuck would walk "straight through" him (presumably because of his insubstantiality), John nevertheless places his hand squarely and firmly on Apollo's shoulder as they walk down the street together at the end of the episode.
- Goof (audio/visual unsynchronized): After blowing up the vehicles, Starbuck says, "I sure hope I don't have to pay for those machines." However, his lips say, "I sure hope I don't have to pay for those things."
- Goof (continuity error): Starbuck and Brenda are searching for his Viper in the middle of the night. The next shot of the praesidium building shows that it is day time. Later, we see Starbuck and Brenda still driving around at night.
Trivia
- 'Richard Hatch (I)' voiced his concern about his character Apollo being so square and Starbuck being the focus of the majority of episodes to story editors Jim Carlson and Terrence McDonnell. They promptly reversed the names of the main characters in the second draft of 'Experiment in Terra', turning yet another Starbuck adventure into an Apollo story.
